All-Natural Men’s Aftershave

Greetings!

I have received many request for all-natural men's products. I did some research and created three really simple all-natural aftershaves. Most commercial aftershaves include ingredients such as benzyl acetate and ethyl acetate. These ingredients are known carcinogens that have been linked to pancreatic cancer. They are also irritants to the respiratory system. In addition to these chemical, commercial aftershaves also contain synthetic colorants which have been linked to multiple reactions like asthma and hives.

I hope you enjoy these all natural alternatives!

Recipe #1

Sensitive Skin:
*Mix equal part apple cider vinegar & water

*Why it works: Apple cider vinegar is a skin calming astringent. It will act as an antiseptic to clean cuts, moisturize the skin, close pores and sooth razor burns.

Recipe #2

Irritated Skin:
¼ cup witch hazel
¼ cup distilled water
¼ cup applecider vinegar
1 Tbsp sweet almond oil
(Can add essential oils as well)

*Why it works: Witch hazel cleanses bacteria, sooths skin, seals in moisture, and tightens pores. Sweet almond oil acts to replenish moisture to the skin.

Recipe #3

Dry Skin:
½ cup distilled water
¼ cup witch hazel
1 Tbsp olive oil
*Why it works: Olive oil is super moisturizing and it contains antioxidants which can help neutralize damaging free radicals that can lead to skin aging and skin cancer.

Clear bottles used for pictures. Store in dark colored containers, preferably glass.

Live Well!

  1. ASA! Sis DeAndrea, this is Sis. Kadara in Rochester NY. I Iove the aftershave products for men! I will definitely share this with my husband:). Can these also be used as part of a woman's facial regimen? Or do you recommend something else for Sisters?

    1. Wa Alaikum Salaam Sis. Kadara! Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar (AVC) can definitely be incorporated into a woman's facial regimen. Use this dilution series as a guideline for your particular skin type:

*Normal Skin: Dilute ACV to 3 parts water, 1 part ACV

*Dry Skin: Add more water: 3.5 parts water, .5 part ACV

*Oily Skin: Less Water: 2 parts water , 2 parts ACV

General rule of thumb, if your skin is dry, add more water, and if your skin is oily, add more ACV. If you have normal skin than you're one lucky Sister :)
