5 Multitasking Marvels- How to Keep House
Greetings Fam Bam!
I know cleaning is not one our favorite things to do, but
we all have to do it. Keeping a clean (and organized) home helps keep stress
low and encourages a peaceful atmosphere in the home. If you are budget
conscious, like I am, you are always looking for things than can be used for more
than one purpose or reused in a new way. These five items are multitasking
marvels and can keep your house in tip top shape:
#1 Microfiber Clothes
These clothes are
dirt magnets. They can be used wet or dry. Dry, they work perfectly for dusting
blinds and electronic appliances. You can wet them and douse in vinegar to
polish stainless steel or get rid of fingerprints. They are also machine washable ($ saving).
Wash on hot without any fabric softener. (You can buy here: http://amzn.to/2lSKc29)
#2 Distilled White Vinegar
This marvel is great for cleaning. White vinegar removes
odors and inhibits the growth of mildew and bacteria. You can add it to laundry
to get rid of mildew smells. Vinegar can be run through coffeemakers to break
up deposits. You can toss vinegar and water in spray bottle and have an easy
all-purpose cleaner to wipe down counters.
#3 Dryersheets
If you use commercial dryer sheet or are trying to get rid
of them, use them to clean your base boards. I don’t encourage using dryer
sheets for laundry (See previous blog: https://mrs7units.blogspot.com/2017/02/dryer-sheets-not-so-soft-and-cuddly-how.html ) If you run an unused dryer sheet along your baseboard it will repel
dust and lint.
#4 Scrigit Scrapers
This pocket sized tool is a perfect way to removed food,
candlewax, paint, stickers, and soap from almost any surface. It comes in handy
for those annoying suck on things. (Scrigit Scapers: http://amzn.to/2kCpp0W )
#5 Dawn Dishwashing Detergent
This blue stuff is magic. It can be used on clothes to
remove oily stains and on your dishes! You can also mix dawn, borax, baking
soda, water and essential oils to make a mild laundry detergent. Let me know if
you would like the recipe!
Have fun with these multitasking marvels!
